Not only did they commit acts against humanity, but they also placed Human Rights Lawyer Steven Donziger, who helped WIN a 9.5 BILLION dollar judgment for the rain forest cleanup, on house arrest for the last 600 days and counting. Donzinger was representing 30,000 small farmers and indigenous Amazonian people affected by the disaster. The case was against Texaco, which is now merged with Chevron, and was the largest financial win against an oil company ever made. Those 30,000 people or anyone in the affected areas of Ecuador and the Amazon NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING, not even 1$, from CHEVRON.

ChevronInEcuador.org published a summary of 5 Peer-Reviewed studies that show the increase of cancer cases in the area. Not only is cancer affecting the area, but there has been a mega-spike in birth defects and miscarriages.
