The track is dangerous, the danger of injury for all kids, not just track but P.E too, the falls are so much worse falls are on a concrete track. On our track we have things like cracks, dips and the 7th lane is covered in grass, we don’t have visible lanes marking, no lights for late practices, the track isn’t safe for practicing in wet weather. Constantly running on hard concrete is terrible for your foot and ankle health, grass growing through cracks is a tripping hazard. It’s simply a hazard regardless of the type of track we have. And when we go to meets it is an entirely different environment that we aren't completely use to. And early this season my teammates had gotten a concussion due to the fact that they other girls knew how to run on a rubber track better then she did. Which proves we are at a disadvantage against the other schools in the area.

The other sports don’t have this bad of practicing conditions and the school is neglecting the track team and our safety; Baseball field stays nice, Football got improved stadium conditions and new gear; and although if you think about it we don’t make any money, but yet we win consistently. You have to pay to get in other sports games. But we don’t have anybody paying to come watch us, and that’s because we can’t host meets, but you can’t host a meet without a rubber track which is another reason. why we need them and even tho we’ve tried fundraising before but we don’t have  a coach to be consistent; because the school doesn’t put time and effort into us and if nobody puts time and effort into us there’s no way we can provide for the school, but since we win consistently the school does get money for us. The football basketball teams get money regardless whether they win or lose, so they are losing money, but we get no funding and basket hall gets new uniforms shoes..everything and bring home no trophies. The track team outperforms the basketball and football team and still gets no respect, The money gets distributed to other sports who “need it” and they have good gear, practice places and good uniforms, while the track team is thought about last when it comes to sports and the money that gets spent on sports.
