Cheryl Dinolfo to Investigate Unethical Actions of Bill Reilich/COMIDA against I-Square

The Issue

We request Monroe County Executive, Cheryl Dinolfo to Investigate Questionable Actions of Bill Reilich/COMIDA against I-Square.

On March 18, 2016 Mr. Reilich released a statement in response to Governor Cuomo's appointment of Adam Bello as Monroe County Clerk.  Included was the following:

"Additionally, financial woes are already apparent as I-Square is failing."

His statement has been shared on multiple social media sites.  Mr. Reilich's damaging words about I-Square are not true and completely inappropriate.  To lie about the viability of a locally owned, family business for political rhetoric is immoral and harmful to that business and to those of us in the community who count on their success.

He then stated that I-Square defaulted on their PILOT agreement with COMIDA based on a 2nd Building not being constructed.  No communication of default from COMIDA was provided to I-Square or the affected tax jurisdictions as stated in the PILOT agreement.

A memo from Harris Beach on March 21, 2016 stated a COMIDA representative visited the site at 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 20th, 2016 to confirm the 2nd Building is not complete.

As Monroe County residents who depend on the economic success of local business, we are concerned about the motives, ethics and statements of Bill Reilich as it relates to I-Square's COMIDA agreement and COMIDA's actions that followed Mr. Reilich's statement.   We require assurance that COMIDA is acting on our community's behalf, and not on the behalf of political games.
