Please help ‘Old Walter’, a local water tower from demolition by developers. 90 year old Walter sits proudly overlooking woodland and a wild flower meadow enjoying his twilight years. Friends of Walter are asking that the developers and planners get together so that residents can strengthened and adapted Walter to create a wonderful roost for a large bat colony. The surrounding trees are also under threat which although overgrown provide a home for many wild birds including woodpeckers, a family of hedgehogs and are often visited by bats, owls, and foxes during the evening and night.
In addition Please help us to obtain a preservation order on 3 old Scott’s pines which at present have no protection.
