Revert MyCherryCreek to How it Used to Look

Revert MyCherryCreek to How it Used to Look
The Issue
MyCherryCreek, the website students in the Cherry Creek School District use to do significant amounts of their work and access much of the learning resources their teachers provide for them, has recently received a design update. Unfortunately, this design overhaul is mostly counterproductive, as it removes features and makes the user interface more complicated, confusing, and inefficient. Being able to switch between tabs easily has been removed, instead requiring navigation to a dropdown menu and then to a checkbox list. The home page has been exchanged for a dashboard that removes the recent tiles feature. Additionally, the update has removed custom tiles, custom backgrounds (a student favorite), and the ability to launch apps that aren't on the dashboard with 1 click in certain situations. The photo used in this petition is from the old version of MyCherryCreek, which allowed for customization and creativity, while the new version is restraining and doesn't allow graphical changes or custom tiles. Additionally, the website now asks to install a separate authentication extension to sign in to certain applications. Although this can be bypassed, it's inconvenient and needlessly complex for a user. Additionally, although this is less solid, myself and many students I have spoken to find the new style and design to be less interesting and less appealing. As a student, I acknowledge that there are likely many reasons for this revision that I'm not aware of, and that there are other things to consider when designing something like MyCherryCreek than just the student experience. However, from the perspective of a student, this update has made what for many has been and will continue to be a daily necessity worse than it was before. This petition is an appeal to Cherry Creek Schools to please fix the user interface and user experience; make it better than before- not worse. And if that isn't doable, if behind-the-scenes conditions allow it, consider reverting the system back to old MyCherryCreek. In the meantime, I've personally found that this link can allow you to keep accessing the old MyCherryCreek to continue doing neccesary online schoolwork and other tasks.
