Nearly 1 lakh passengers use the Chennai Beach - Velachery MRTS  transportation daily for regular commute, and more than 95% of them rely on MRTS & Suburban rails interlink to reach their destination using the Chennai Fort station interlink and Chennai park town - Chennai Park interlink. most of the daily commuters include students of college and schools, office goers, etc who form the working and middle-class section of the society 

The recent announcement by MRTS and southern railways to partially suspend services till Chepauk has drawn shock and unprecedented worries to the commuters, many of the college and school-going students are hitting the verge of discontinuing studies or looking to shift educational institutions nearby , while office goers are looking for alternate jobs with lesser compensations. Regular commuters are facing dire consequences of the same announcements

The suspension of services is reasoned for the proposes construction of  4th Railway line of 4km  from Chennai beach to Chennai Egmore 

 

 

 

 

 

 we kindly request on behalf of more than lakh commuters every day to scrap the proposed suspension of services. if at all there has to be a suspension of the ongoing services suggesting to continue the services till Chennai Park town to enable link with central and suburban train lines for effective transit facility for commuters .
