'RESORT ZONING' (SPOT ZONING) IS A CHEATHAM COUNTY PROBLEM. TELL CHEATHAM COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO VOTE NO!

•ONE DEVELOPMENT GROUP from Nashville is pressing the Cheatham County Planning and the Cheatham County Commission to approve 'Resort Zoning' (Spot Zoning) for THEIR best interest in order to develop a large parcel of land in Kingston Springs. IF APPROVED, 'RESORT ZONING' (SPOT ZONING) WOULD BE IMPOSED COUNTY WIDE AND THIS MEANS ON YOUR LAND TOO!!    The overreach of proposed 'Resort Zoning' (Spot Zoning) threatens to transform our communities by allowing commercial businesses to be built alongside neighborhoods and on farmlands county wide.  

•OUR COUNTY'S MOST CURRENT 2023 GROWTH PLAN IS THOROUGH AND SOLID. WE FAVOR LOW DENSITY, SUSTAINABLE GROWTH THAT ALIGNS WITH THE CHEATHAM COUNTY GROWTH PLAN. If 'Resort Zoning' (Spot Zoning) is approved the floodgates will be opened and there is no going back. We are against this mismatch of development, blatant disregard of land use and homeowner's rights. WE ARE AGAINST THE OVERALL DIMINISHED QUALITY OF LIFE IT WOULD CAUSE.

•WE URGE THE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION AND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO REJECT THE PROPOSED 'RESORT ZONING' (SPOT ZONING) IN CHEATHAM COUNTY. We advocate for zoning that follows the Growth Plan, respects the character of our communities and protects property and homeowners.
