The food at Barker canteen is very overpriced, meaning kids who need to buy their own lunch one day run out of money before they even buy a sandwich! The prices aren't helping the utilisation of the canteen, with kids buying their food for the day before they get to school, usually at the newsagents. This means the food at the canteen is more likely to go off and be unused, creating more waste at the school. We propose the normal retail price instead of the extra dollar or two food is now. We will start to really see the difference!
