This year, for the second time in the past 2 decades, the person with the popular vote didn't win the presidency. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and popular vote lead over President-Elect Donald Trump is continuing to grow. This also happened in 1824, 1876, and 1888. 

The Electoral College was created by our founding fathers and is now an outdated system. The Electoral College puts focus on about 12 of the 50 states. It also leads to a stronger division in the country when one candidate wins the Presidency with less votes just because they won the right states to gain more electoral votes. 

The Electoral College is undermining the will of the people and causing many people in traditional "Blue" and "Red" states to stay home because they feel their vote doesn't matter. It's time for each vote to count! 

Please create a bill to end the electoral college in 2016 and make the popular vote count when electing our President.
