Carry out a full investigation into Farplace Animal Rescue in Durham, UK
The Issue
We, the undersigned, are looking for your support in asking the Charity Commission to carry out a thorough investigation of Farplace Animal Rescue in Durham, UK.
This rescue received £450,000 in donations between 2010 and 2013 but the living conditions of the animals continue to be unacceptable.
There appears to be a long term problem at Farplace, that a few quick fixes following the threat of an RSPCA visit are not going to solve. A large number of photographs, and testimonies by former staff and volunteers have been collected, to be sent to the Charity Commission.
Please follow this link to the rescue's own Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/farplace ; The photos on their page are cause for concern because they tend to be close ups which fail to disclose the conditions inside the rescue.
Further matters of concern at Farplace are - questionable attention to animals needing vet treatment and medication, animals in small cages long term, apparent lack of a rehoming policy, and reluctance to allow supporters to have access to the rescue itself.
