On October 1st, my father was faced with a gun. He came face to face with the end of a rifle because he was simply trying to help his neighbor’s starved horses. His neighbor threatened to shoot and kill him. PLEASE sign this petition to grab the attention of News Channel 8 and the Hernando Sheriff’s Department, so action can be taken. We want to save these starved horses before it is too late. There are 4 in total that are not being fed. They are only weeks away from death. Please read the submission below that my father sent in to Channel 8:

I'd like to see if News Channel 8 can take on a case of animal abuse in Hernando County. I offered to help the owners take care of their horses but encountered threats and violence where the owner discharged a firearm at me. I contacted Hernando Sheriff and there was nothing done by the agency. See case number 2020-28845. The four horses they have on a trashy 2.50 acre property are in need of assistance. I've reported this to the Hernando Sheriff Agency, Humane Society of the United States and the Hernando Animal Control. If we can get attention to helping these horses it would be great. Thank you.
