People at my school are getting dress coded left and right because of the things we are wearing. One of my classmates today was dress coded for wearing jeans and a sweater, (the jeans were not ripped) because her shirt was not covering her butt. She was also directly called out and insulted by the staff member who dress coded her. Many other students and parents at my school have had problems with the dress code because of the new rules that they are setting in place and I would like that to change that. People should be allowed to be comfortable while they learn, if we keep getting dress coded and sent home then that affects our education as well as our attendance in school. If we can work together and make the changes that we need, then everyone can be comfortable and have healthy learning experiences in school. I was also made aware of these situations in my younger siblings schools. They have had there privilege to where hoodies taken away from them at they’re school, they all must where jackets with no hood on them at all.
