Changing Tables in Public Restrooms

The Issue

For the last 21 months, I have been in so many places and went to change my baby in public restrooms, and found they had no changing tables for me to do it. How frustrating to need somewhere to change your baby and there be nowhere to do it? Isn't it the law to have handicap facilities in a public restroom? I think this is great, but can we not support the mothers/fathers of this world? Not long ago, I was in a store and my daughter suddenly needed a diaper change. I had to change her on top of a cardboard box! Why? No thought of mothers shopping in their store! They had bathrooms, just no changing tables. I was at McDonalds on Friday. I left before I was even done eating and had to take my baby out IN THE COLD to lay her in the floorboard with the door OPEN to change her because McDonalds had no changing tables!!! Really??? I'm going to quit going to places that doesn't have them. What am I supposed to do? Moms (and dads!) need somewhere to change their children. If businesses can have electronic doors, wheelchair doors, ramps, handicap handles, plasma screen TVs, etc. Surely, they can have a changing table. I think the state should mandate it for restrooms that are open to the general public. I would LOVE to give every one of the lawmakers a baby with a poopy diaper, then send them into a crowded store or restaurant that has NO changing table, and tell them to change the baby's diaper in a sanitary, private fashion. Not gonna HAPPEN! Please people, help me get this law changed!!!! For the sake of us parents, and our precious babies, lets ban together and make this happen!
