Petition to Modernize Cracker Barrel’s Dress Code

We, the undersigned employees of Cracker Barrel, respectfully request an update to the company’s dress code policy to better reflect modern workplace standards and employee needs. The current dress code is outdated and unnecessarily restrictive, limiting personal expression without any impact on professionalism or guest experience. We propose the following updates:
Expanded Uniform Color Options: Allow employees to wear additional neutral or company-approved colors beyond the current limited selection.

Updated Piercing Policy: Permit regular-sized nose rings and facial piercings instead of limiting them to small, barely visible ones.

Modernized Nail Policy: Allow employees to have painted nails in any color, as long as they are well-maintained and do not pose hygiene concerns.

General Dress Code Flexibility: Adjust outdated policies to align with 2025 workplace standards while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for guests.

These changes will improve employee morale, encourage inclusivity, and help Cracker Barrel stay competitive with other restaurant chains that have already modernized their dress codes. By allowing employees a bit more freedom in their appearance, Cracker Barrel can continue to foster a positive work environment without compromising its values or customer experience.

We urge management and corporate leadership to consider these reasonable updates to the dress code and work with employees to create a more modern, inclusive, and comfortable workplace.
