This is the reason why English is so hard for people to learn. We NEED to modernize and change our ways if we ever can hope for a better future. This is just one example, a stepping stone perhaps, to the greater unity of all people through the means of common communication. Changing the spelling of the word 'Phone' to 'Fone' would reduce the amount of letters used substantially and is slightly more phonetically (fonetically) correct.
