As many of you know, a couple of years ago, I made a bold request to the city. I noticed that the Water Street public restroom didn’t have a name, while the other restrooms were proudly titled. Naturally, I thought this was my moment to make history. I proposed naming it The Memorial Eric Hall Tinkle Tavern—classy, right? Well, apparently, the city council didn't think so. Shockingly, no plaque was put up, and “Here” remained the official name (yes, Here... creative, right?).

But this is my final year teaching in Cheboygan, and before I leave, I’m making one last attempt to make this dream a reality. This time, I’m proposing a name that I think truly captures the essence of this restroom: Hall’s Potty Palace.

Why should a restroom with such potential go unnamed when we can crown it with a name fit for royalty?
