The purpose of this petition is to change motorcycle laws in the uk.

the idea is to have:

a1 - 17

a2 - 18 

a - 20

The idea is to give people the chance to progress quicker in their licensing and to also help keep them SAFE. Keeping people on a 125 for too long is an easy way for them to get over confident and do things that can and will get them killed. Notice how a lot of accidents have involved motorcyclists on 125s? Yeah, exactly. Having a 125 for a year is way more than long enough for someone to get used to riding to be able to get a bigger bike. Having that bigger bike will keep that fear factor in them to prevent them from doing stupid things and getting themselves killed. 

Another way to think about is, how come at 17 you can get into any car which can get up to stupidly high speeds and aswell take distracting passengers in there but you can only be on a bike of 15bhp until you’re 19? It doesn’t make sense does it.
