On 12th May 2022 my Son, Dean Miles aged 49 was involved in a fatal accident on the ring road between Rodley and Horsforth. Dean a loving father of 3 children. Our aim in this petition  is to have the speed limit between Rodley and Horsforth reduced from 60Mph to 40Mph. We also would like to see speed cameras installed on this stretch of road. Leeds City Council and the Highways agency have the powers to make this change.

If we are successful in this petition we can help to reduce further fatal accidents like this one.

If we are unsuccessful in this petition then it will only be a matter of time before we hear of yet another fatal accident.since the development of the Horsforth Vale the volume of traffic on this stretch of road has increased hugely, and will only keep on increasing due to the development of The Horsforth Fold as will the number of pedestrians.
