The Issue
This year, residents of the Navarro Ranch neighborhood have faced growing frustration due to the newly imposed pool rules by our current management company. For many of us, the community pool is more than just a place to swim—it's a vital part of our community life, a place where families gather, and friendships are formed.
With these new regulations, however, many residents, including myself, have been unable to enjoy the pool that we all pay for. The restrictions have become so burdensome that what used to be a serene and enjoyable part of our neighborhood now feels unwelcoming. It's disappointing to pay for a something and receive less enjoyment and accessibility than ever before.
It's crucial to note that these decisions were made unilaterally, without sufficient input from the very residents who are directly affected. Typically, in other neighborhoods, pool management decisions are taken with ample community consultation and consideration of resident feedback, ensuring that the residents' voices guide the policies. We need a management company that respects and values community input, one that is committed to preserving a welcoming atmosphere for our pool.
We propose to replace the current pool management company with one that is willing to collaborate with residents and create policies that enhance, rather than hinder, our pool experience. There are many reputable companies known for working closely with neighborhood associations to adapt regulations in a way that acknowledges both safety concerns and resident enjoyment.
