Change the Name of the "100 Grand" Candy Bar (Ferrero) to "1 Million"

Change the Name of the "100 Grand" Candy Bar (Ferrero) to "1 Million"

The Issue

Since 1964, the "100 Grand" candy bar has been delighting tens if not twenties of fans every year, with it's thick caramel center, crisped rice covering, and luscious blanket of velvety milk chocolate.  Is this name still relevant nearly 60 years later, though?  Times have changed, inflation has increased prices steadily, and one hundred grand doesn't buy nearly as much today as it did back then.

No matter your income bracket, $100,000 means a lot less to everyone now than it did several generations ago.  In an age of increasing awareness to social, political, and financial issues, it is now time to address this blatant dinosaur of a consumerist relic, and give it the update it so desperately needs.

What we are asking for is nothing short of a logical and fair renaming of this classic treat.  Per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and their online inflation calculator, 100,000 US Dollars in 1964 would equate to $989,295.82 in 2023 currency.  Source: https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm

This number assumes the candy was created in October of 1964, with conversion to October of 2023.  Using January as the starting month, we have an estimated value of $995,699.03 instead.  This is less than $5,000 from an updated value of $1,000,000.

We love the 100 Grand candy bar; our efforts are merely to update its relevance and image to an early 21st century point of view.  A bar worthy of $100,000 over half a century ago needs to reflect its true value today.  We feel $1,000,000 would correctly portray it's status in the candy bar world.
