There is a large number of concerns when it comes to homelessness in our neighborhoods. The majority of homeless victims in Lennox, CA and surrounding areas, are visibly suffering from mental health problems. This project has risen many different opinions and has resulted in different perspectives in regards to the location of the project.  Lennox residents feel they do not have a voice or a person to represent them or address their concerns. With this petition, I hope to raise awareness to these concerns. While It’s a beautiful and inspirational project the City of Hawthorne has created, we Lennox resident’s believe we should have a voice and a stand in this matter. We do not have a mayor to unify our voice, but we do have people with heart who understand the difficulty of homelessness and would like the project location to be moved to continue to provide a safe route home to the children and parents of Lennox. 

Conclusion: I urge anyone with an opinion, wether against or for this project, to stand up and make your opinion matter.

Pros: Homeless individuals will find a home and a safe place to rest. We all deserve a second chance and kindness. 

Cons: The location of the project is extremely close to schools and homes. 

This petition is to address the location of the Hawthorne Pallet Shelter. Please sign if you disagree with the location.

Hay una gran cantidad de preocupaciones cuando se trata de personas sin hogar en nuestros vecindarios. Este proyecto ha suscitado muchas opiniones diferentes y ha resultado en diferentes perspectivas con respecto a la ubicación de este proyecto. Los residentes de Lennox sienten que no tienen una voz o una persona que los represente. Con esta petición espero crear conciencia sobre estas preocupaciones. Si bien es un proyecto hermoso e inspirador que ha creado la ciudad de Hawthorne, los residentes de Lennox creemos que tenemos una voz.

Contras: La ubicación del proyecto está extremadamente cerca de escuelas y hogares.
