We are trying to get the James Leach Aquatic Center renamed to the Hubert Peterkin Aquatic Center. Hubert Peterkin was a beloved member of our community with a life time of service to Hoke County. We should be naming our public spaces after members of the community who have had impact on it in a positive manner.This a non partisan initiative to give Sheriff Hubert Peterkin the much deserved recognition.

There is no justification for a sitting commissioner or elected Hoke County representative to have any public building, structure, sports field or parks named after them while in office. 

We are looking for signatures from anyone currently living or a resident of Hoke County. 

We will be presenting these signatures at our 1st Commissioners meeting in November 2022, If you can make it please come support us in person!
