The Stalwart in Helldivers 2 is a great crowd control weapon in Helldivers 2 if used right and a valid option in any player's loadout. Yet it is rarely used because at the current time it takes up a Support Weapon slot and hinders(albeit not much in a full squad) the player with the inability to run any sort of AT support weapon and an inability to pierce any sort of armor.

This immediately puts the Stalwart at a disadvantage as it is outclassed by almost every other crowd control weapon in it's type(kinetic/physical rounds, I.E MG-43). If the Stalwart were to be tweaked and changed to a primary, or even a variant to it, where the magazine size is reduced by 100,(250 to 150) it would greatly benefit from being able to be an intrinsic crowd control weapon, while also being viable as an alternative to bringing in stratagems spec'd into something like defense with sentries, Anti Tank stratagems, or even a full bullet house for crowd control. Although not in dire need this change would make a great addition to primary weapons, while being a great option for any Helldiver to spread Managed Democracy. Return the Stalwart to its original glory.
