Since the beginning the Panthers, and the new Charlotte FC to some degree, have always represented North and South Carolina. But the Panthers have always played in Charlotte which is the biggest and proudest city in North Carolina. Most NFL teams rep the city they play in except for New England and Minnesota. The only reason the Panthers have anything to do with South Carolina is because the original owner Jerry Richardson went to college at Wofford SC and now the Panthers have training camp there. There are a myriad of reasons to lose the SC branding; we do not want to be associated with previous owner Jerry Richardson, SC fell through with new headquarters funding, and the Panthers could easily hold training camp at the Panthers stadium practice facility or at UNC Charlotte down the road. I propose they drop South Carolina from the Panthers brand and make Charlotte Panthers the name inline with the New  Charlotte FC. We need the team to represent the city that has always been there for them. Together we can make this a reality. Go Charlotte Panthers!!!
