For far too long, Australia has been succumbing to American influence, this has been a 60 year-long decline that has seen Australia walk away from its own culture. 

Furthermore, this change bled into our currency - the introduction of dollars has changed Australian language. We all know the slang for dollars is 'bucks', which is an Americanism. Before, Australia used to use the word 'quid'.

In order for Australia to continue finding its identity, it has to reject American influences. 

Amid the increasing threat of American encroachment, please help Australia regain its cutural feet by signing this petition. Signing this petition will culminate in restoring Australia back to what made itself culturally unique, rather than going down the road of being a cheap imitation of American culture.
