The Dress code at Averill Park High School needs to change! Dress codes are outdated, sexist, and discriminatory towards female students, and it especially targets female students of color, and girls with bigger body types. This contributes to insecurities among young girls, and makes them feel like there is something "wrong" with their bodies. Students at APHS are sick of this treatment! Our bodies are NOT distracting. We should be focusing on our education, not on what teenage students are wearing!
