StarNow, an international talent and casting platform was initially founded in 2004 by three New Zealand expats.  Originally, the goal behind the platform was to connect talent with casting professionals and promote casting calls and auditions worldwide. 

Thanks to its robust platform, ease of access to casting calls and professional appearance of talent profiles, StarNow became one of the leading platforms with over four million members reportedly worldwide.  As the dominant player in the market for actors & extras, models, dancers, photographers, crew, stylists, and musicians, it has led to professional opportunities for many with some of the industry's top players in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand to name a few.

After being bought out by Backstage and Mandy and the recent announcement of a "new and improved" re-designed platform, social media and review sites have been inundated with comments of frustration and disappointment over the new design and management.  From no longer being user-friendly to loss/changes of data on talent profiles and inaccessibility to relevant jobs and agent profiles, many have cancelled their memberships after years of success on the platform.

For a platform that wouldn't have become as successful as it was without the talent, clients and agents who accessed the platform for the opportunities it provided, we are petitioning to have StarNow changed BACK to how it used to be to reflect the needs of the global creative industry.
