Most people using hearing aid batteries are older or have disabilities. However, this law made it, so all hearing aids must be in child proof packaging. I researched this law, because I’m blind, and suddenly couldn’t open the packaging. Then, I went online and saw complaints from mostly older people. This law has taken something people that once could do something independently. These batteries also must be cut open. Before, people could easily open them. What are we supposed to do when batteries die in public? Even if you can get these open, people don’t take to others bringing out sharp objects in public. What can we do? We can bring back easy open batteries. What about those with children? We can have companies sell child proof batteries for those that need them. Then, people struggling to open batteries like me can get their easy open batteries back. If we don’t fix this problem, nobody will, and everything will become child proof, and impossible for lots of people to open. Make child proof batteries an option, but please don’t take away easy open options. Thank you.
