The Issue

This isn’t about being prejudice, it’s about equality.

We do not need a whole month to celebrate someone’s sexuality and identity. If veterans and Jesus get one day, then the LGBTQ community should have the same—this is the sentiment that drives this petition. Many believe in honoring significant contributions and figures in a balanced and equitable manner.

Veterans have served our countries, risking their lives to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. Yet, they are honored with just a single day. Similarly, Jesus, who is a figure of immense significance to billions of people around the world, is allotted only one designated day of celebration. The allocation of an entire month to Pride suggests an imbalance in the acknowledgment of societal contributions.

This petition seeks to establish a more equitable approach to public celebrations and awareness events. Instead of dedicating a whole month to Pride, we should consider one day, ensuring that every group, figure, and cause receives a fair share of recognition without overshadowing others.

Changing this tradition will ensure that public celebrations do not prioritize one over another, maintaining respect and fairness among all communities.

Sign this petition if you wish to support a balanced and fair system of public celebrations, reflecting contributions and importance equally across all communities.
