Columbus Day is a day celebrating; stolen land, conquering, colonization, slavery, racism, violence, and the so called "discovery" of America

You don't have to know history to have heard about the famous discovery of Christopher Columbus, but he didn't discover anything. He, upon sailing to the wrong land, tortured, conquered, stole from, enslaved, and mercilessly slaughtered the native inhabitants, and soon took the credit for the land he did not own or deserve.

Columbus Day is not a good example on our new generation, and is not a day worth celebrating.  And even if this petition is not taken into consideration, we should at least teach our children here in America the true story of the land they live in, and diminish the crown of "Discoverer of America" from Columbus, and give it to the true discoverers of America, the Native Americans who deserve it.

Set a good example, do the right thing, ban Columbus Day from our country, and teach our citizens the truth about the "Discovery" of America.

Make the right choice for our country, give us the truth we deserve, end this corrupt holiday once and for all.
