Recently in October my fiancé passed away I decided to bury him at the cemetery located in Delano. I purchased 5 spots however I continuously put my loved ones decorations around his little place. (He hasn’t got his headstone) the workers throw what ever decorations are put towards the middle in the trash because they stated that decoration should only be brought to fit inside the flowers pots. I’ve continuously presented myself at the office asking if they knew what happened to the decorations. They said people come to steal . I however received pictures of the workers driving by gravesites and picking up peoples belongings and throwing them away and no it wasn’t the first Friday of the month for them to clean.I along with other people decided to look in the garbage and their we found solar lights and other valuables that were took from the grave sites.  I had an incident occur where I purchased a large flower arrangement the day of my fiancés birthday which was February 2nd I asked a worker if it was fine to leave it he said to take it home and bring it the following day considering the day after was cleaning day . I came 2 days after and left it around 3’o clock I returned the following day it was gone. I proceeded to look for the worker and ask what happened ge said he threw it away because it was not a fresh grave. I then told him he’s the one that told me I could bring it then said no that he said only the decorations. So there went $400. We have family buried here on these grounds and pay thousands of dollars to be next to our loved ones. I personally would like my loved one to be decorated for special occasions such as Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter, his birthday any holiday as long it’s not in anyones way. Which why would it be? If it’s as easy as collecting funds I think it would be fair to let us decorate our loved ones site and for that we need change. Change starts with us we should be able to decorate how we would like in the middle or around the gravestone. I’d also like for the workers of NKCD to abide by there rules they out in place and clean on the day they state not before or after. Change can happen and it starts with us. Help me make a change.
