Change Mumbai Metro stations names

Change Mumbai Metro stations names
The Issue
We, the residents of Mumbai, strongly believe that metro stations should reflect the popular names of the areas they are located in. Today, many stations have names that are unfamiliar to local residents and often cause confusion. Additionally, the repetition of names, such as Goregaon and Pahadi Goregaon, Eksar and Pahadi Eksar, Malad and Lower Malad, Oshiwara and Lower Oshiwara, only adds to the confusion. The use of prefixes such as "Pahadi" makes it sound like these stations belong to a different city altogether.
We urge the authorities to consider renaming these stations through a transparent and democratic process, consulting with local residents to ensure that the names accurately reflect the popular names of the areas they serve. This will not only improve the ease of navigation for residents and visitors, but also foster a sense of community pride and belonging.
