As an employee working on the East Coast of North America, I know I'm not alone in this struggle. Many of us have to juggle between the basic requirements of being alive and attending trivial meetings.

Lunch time is not just a break from work; it's an essential part of the day that provides a mental and physical recharge necessary to maintain productivity and  build share holder value. According to numerous studies, including one published by the National Institutes of Health, taking a break enhances job performance and prevents burnout. Yet, Doug schedules meetings that are disrespectful to this crucial aspect of employee welfare.

I demand all meetings start at 2 PM. By shifting the start time, we increasing respect for the standard lunch hour of 12 PM - 1 PM, which is ingrained as part of the working culture on the East Coast. This small change would allow us to enjoy a peaceful lunch, boosting morale and productivity in a mobile first, cloud first, AI world.

In conclusion, adjusting the meeting times is a realistic goal that honors our need for rest and acknowledges the importance of respecting employees' time.
