In the state of Maryland, the crime rate and gun violence is increasing. Even though criminals are shooting and killing at an alarming rate the self defense laws make it hard to truly defend yourself.  
This law is outdated and needs change so that law abiding citizens may protect themselves against these criminals who have no regards to human life. Children are getting shot and killed! Please help me change this law so that we can stand up and stand our ground.

If we win and get the law changed, we will be able to defend ourselves against criminals who don’t care about the lives of others.  If we lose we will continue to suffer the same casualties to street violence that has been happening . We can’t let these criminals who don’t abide by the law have power over the hardworking citizens who do.
