My children were allowed to have outdoor play items like sandboxes, playhouses, swing sets, teeter-totters, and climbing gyms up until the policy change. It was very hard on them and many other families nationwide. These “normal” outdoor play items are essential for children's physical and mental development. Studies show that outdoor play improves motor skills, reduces stress levels, and enhances social interactions (American Academy of Pediatrics). By restricting these toys, we are depriving our children of crucial developmental opportunities. Please sign this petition to urge HRA to reconsider their policy and allow children the joy of playing outdoors with these important toys again.
