As students, we believe that our university's learning management system (LMS) plays a crucial role in our academic success. Currently, George Mason University uses Blackboard as its primary LMS. However, we strongly urge the administration to consider switching to Canvas.

Canvas is a modern and user-friendly LMS that has been adopted by over 3,000 institutions worldwide. In fact, according to e-Literate's LMS market share report for higher education in North America, Canvas is now the most widely used LMS in the United States.

In addition to being more popular among universities across the country, Canvas offers several advantages over Blackboard. For example:
- Canvas has a more intuitive interface that is easier for students and faculty to navigate.
- Canvas offers better mobile support than Blackboard.
- Canvas provides more robust analytics and reporting tools than Blackboard.

Furthermore, many of us have personally experienced issues with Blackboard that have negatively impacted our learning experience. These include slow loading times, confusing navigation menus, and frequent technical glitches.

By switching to Canvas as our primary LMS platform at George Mason University, we believe that both students and faculty will benefit from a more streamlined and efficient learning experience.
