Change Fort Pierce Central Dresscode and Bathroom Policy

Change Fort Pierce Central Dresscode and Bathroom Policy
The Issue
At Fort Pierce Central High School the new principal claims the new dress code is “gender neutral”. It’s not, hundreds of girls have gotten dress coded for things they should not be pulled out of class for. My friend (female) wore a pair of mens Nike shorts that I have seen SEVERAL males wear to school. She got dress coded, but none of the boys that wear shorts rolled up so high you can see their underwear get dress coded. Girls are getting stopped before class because of a hole on their high that isn’t revealing anything but leg, the same amount of leg boys reveal when wearing mens shorts. There’s photos of at least 30 girls just standing around the cafeteria during class because their clothes were “too revealing”. These girls we’re wearing jeans with a few rips, one girl with a skirt down to her knees, they were all wearing JACKETS. No one was wearing anything revealing. The young woman at St Lucie Public Schools are completely overly sexualized by grown men and woman. Also, the bathroom policy. The rule is you can’t use the bathroom the first 10 or last 10 minutes of class. Why? If you’re going from a class to another one and the bell rings while you’re using the bathroom, you get a lunch detention. There is a sign on the bathroom door the says something along the lines of how you have to follow your teachers bathroom rules, even when it’s difficult. There is also a sign in the junior building that has a drawing of stick figures holding their legs signaling they have to use the bathroom with a huge X over it. Not to mention, not using the bathroom when your body is telling you that you need to go can lead to genuine medical issues. When the staff in the office has to use the bathroom I guarantee THEY GO TO THE BATHROOM. USING THE BATHROOM IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT!!!!! WE LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF FLORIDA!!!! TEMPERATURES ARE 80-90 DEGREES EVERYDAY UNTIL NOVEMBER!!!!! THE HUMIDITY IS HIGH EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!! GIRLS SHOULD BE ABLE TO WEAR SHORTS OR CLOTHING THAT KEEPS THEM COOL!!!!!!! OUR EDUCATIONS SHOULD NOT BE DISRUPTED BECAUSE A HOLE IN OUR PANTS!!!!!!!!! OUR MALE TEACHERS SHOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY LOOK AT OUR CHEST BEFORE EVEN GREETING US TO TELL US WHAT WE ARE WEARING IS TOO REVEALING!!!!!!!!!EVERY POD IN OUR SCHOOL HAS 2-3 INDIVIDUAL BATHROOMS FOR EACH GENDER, EITHER MAKE MORE BATHROOMS OR LET US USE IT WHEN WE NEED TO!!!!!!! ADULTS THAT ARE NOT OUR PARENTS SHOULD NOT FORCING US OUT OF CLASS TO CHANGE OUR PANTS!!!!! WE SHOULD NOT BE TOLD WE CAN NOT USE THE BATHROOM WHEN WE NEED TO!!!!!!!
EDIT: Apparently, Dean Reese went to a table of a girl and her friends, which included some boys, and said to the table “I know y’all are staring at her boobs.” When at any time and any place is it okay for a GROWN WOMAN working in the school system to speak about a minors chest? Why do these teachers think it’s okay to embarrass girls in front of their peers? Our authority figures at school are supposed to protect us and make us feel like we’re safe inside of a place we spend 7 hours a day and 180 days of the year in. Why do our bodies have to be subject to how much power you hold?
