Over 200 people applied last year to the Spanish Working Holiday Visa scheme in New Zealand, some did it in April and others in November (total 400 people).

Conditions:

"You are able to live for 12 months in the country, only work 6 months in total and only 3 for each employer"

The visa conditions were changed this year to:

"You can live and work for 12 months in the country without restrictions"

People who were with the Old Visa already in the country and arrived before the 30th September 2022 were granted an extension of 6 months without restrictions.

The rest of the 400 people that were not able to come before that date, kept the same conditions.

Furthermore, some people with the Old Visa Conditions, have spent Money and Time working in Horticulture in order to get an extension and be able to work for 3 more months. They just found out that they have paid for an Expensive Tourist Visa as Spanish WH Visa Holders with the old conditions, are allowed to apply for the Extension and being granted an extra 3 months (in total 15) but are not able to work as they are only allowed to work 6 months (regardless of the extension and the time worked at the Orchards/Farms like other Visa Holders) this is nowhere found on the Website, however Immigration advised some of the individuals of this.

With this petition, we are asking for support and understanding and for the Gov to grant us an Exception and remove the conditions to the Old Visa Holders that are still in NZ and have still several months in their Visa to be able to work and support the Economy of this beautiful country until the Visas duration ends.

New Zealand Gov increased the amount of visa as there is a shortage in labour workers, with this petition we ask to be Listen and request to please consider to Grant an Extension to the almost 200-400 people that still Hold the Old Spanish WH Conditions.
