Mason High School has failed to recognize that the class of 2022 has been presented with a unique opportunity for our class song. While we understand that there are three songs that are alternated every year, and it would break tradition to name an entirely new song as our class anthem, it is impossible to ignore the musical masterpiece that is “22” by Taylor Swift. Lines such as “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22”, and “We’re happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way,” all represent our graduating class as a whole. A class of 22 is a unique phenomenon that will not grace Mason High School again for another one hundred years. To ignore a song so perfect in representing our year of graduation would be a shame and very disappointing for Mason High School Seniors.
