Jawai bandh railway station name should be changed to sumerpur as almost all the passengers using the railway belong to either sumerpur or sheoganj both of which are municipal corporations. However, jawai bandh is a gram panchayat. Since, the railway station name is based on the latter less services operate from this station which is unfair to the people of two municpal corporations (approx. combined population of 75k). A name change will change the category of the railway station which will help the farmers of this region grow rapidly as there is a anaj mandi (grain market) in sumerpur which is one of the biggest in pali district. hope the government takes swift decision in this regard.
