Justice For Marcos Ramirez

Justice For Marcos Ramirez
Why this petition matters
UPDATE: At this time Marcos has tested positive for corona virus at Stateville Correctional Center due to being a front line worker helping other inmates who are sick. He is experiencing tremendous respiratory issues that is also affecting his pre existing heart condition. Our family is currently working on another new petition for a emergency clemency. Not only is he innocent but he is literally dying in prison due to this pandemic. We ask that you please can also write a support/character letter for his emergency clemency and send it to our lawyer Karen Ranos email: karen@ranos-law.com so that we can get started on not only this petition and the new one for the emergency clemency but also a handful of letters to send to the Governor Pritzker and the prisoner review board in Illinois to consider him for a sentence commutation. Thank you so much for the love And support! Here is Marcos story...
“My name is Marcos Ramirez; 42 years old; 18 1/2 years incarcerated and serving a life with out parole sentence for a double murder I did not commit. I am innocent and wrongfully convicted based on a false confession which was tortured out of me (3 days) at Area 5 Grand and Central in July 2001 by Detectives Anthony Wojcik, (who's tied to the Jason VanDyke/ Laquan McDonald shooting cover-up scandal as the supervising lieutenant (now retired) who fabricated the reports; see Oct. 2019 Fox 32 News report on Office of Inspector General, Joseph Ferguson, releasing previously sealed reports to the public), as well as the Chicago Tribune article dated on Oct.10th 2019 (written by Jeremy Gorner) Greg Bella, and Demosthenes Balodimas. These same detectives have abused, tortured, and coerced dozens of Chicago citizens(it's all on public record) since the early 1990's, many of whom are currently incarcerated and also wrongfully convicted!
During my time here in Stateville Correctional Center, I've evolved and began my masters degree in Restorative Arts. I am a advocate for restorative and social justice as well as a writing adviser at North Park/Stateville writing center and a peer educator for Illinois's Department of Health Services. I am a passionate advocate/activist for criminal justice and sentencing reform. As I continue to fight for my freedom in court, I'm also working to bring justice for victims of police abuse in communities. I am a father, son, brother, and uncle but most importantly a God fearing man. I know everything happens for a reason and I will continue to use my testimony to empower and spread love to others. I beg you to help me turn tragedy into triumph.”
Please sign my petition and help me go to Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx with at least 5,000 signatures or more to request a fair and impartial hearing on my pattern and practice of Police Abuse and Torture Claim against said detectives! If there is anyone out there who was abused by these detectives, or who has an incarcerated loved one who was abused, tortured, and framed by these detectives, please come forward- sign and contact my attorney Karen Ranos(708)541-9806 email: karen@ranos-law.com. If you are an organizer and would like to help me and my family organize and expand this campaign for justice and my freedom, please contact me Marcos Ramirez #R66644, PO.
