Please save Gummadi Srinivasa Chakravarthy park, new postal colony first lane, patamata , VIJAYAWADA.  

This park is In the midst of residential houses where kids and elderly senior citizens relax, play and get in touch with community.. It has been there for 40 years. Park was built from the properties of the local people by forming a lay out

Recently, APSPDCL ( Andhra Pradesh southern power distribution company) officials entered the park and destroyed  all the play items of kids and removed all the plants and trees in half of the park where kids were playing ,for construction of a substation. This is done with out any written approval of VMC ( VIJAYAWADA municipal corporation ) authorities.

I am not sure if this has come to the notice of the higher authorities including COrporater,Commissioner, Minister of Enviroment and Honarary Chief Minister .This petition is not for me alone. It is for every one,namely kids, middle aged people and elderly. This kind of deforestation is detrimental for humankind. We can get substation anywhere but destroying parks is in-humane. Where do the kids go? Is this what we are teaching? All the people in community is objecting this and also submitted multiple memorandums in this regard .  As Abraham Lincoln said, democracy is government of the people, by the people and for the people. Hope every one take notice of this and preserve the parks, nature and generations
