Cesar Rivera's Parole hearing 2025

Cesar Rivera's Parole hearing 2025
The Issue
From the Herrera and Rivera family we come to ask the public for help to petition on setting free Cesar Rivera. Cesar is my cousin and on behalf of both sides of our family we have come together to plead for his pardon. Since being incarcerated Cesar has been able to graduate and get his GED which was a huge accomplishment for him and it made us all proud. Cesar has been working on self growth and staying out of trouble since he’s been in prison. He works at the facility's kitchen completing 7-8 hour shifts which helps him keep busy. Before incarceration Cesar was working at a great job doing construction getting paid at a decent amount that was able to provide for him and his family. Although there wasn’t much community service he could do because he had to provide for his kids. Which meant pulling extra hours at work or spending his day off with his kids. Cesar was also a member of the catholic church and completed all his sacraments, he was planning on marrying his wife through the church before being incarcerated. Cesar has a huge support system waiting for him to be free. He not only has his family which if I haven’t mentioned is pretty huge, he also has the catholic priest and community waiting to see him again. Cesar has two beautiful babies who miss their dad so much and get sad to see him so far away from them when they were used to sleeping and waking up by his side. Cesar has an amazing wife who has been struggling to be with her babies due to her being the only provider in her household. Cesar has spent almost 2 years in prison but is set for a parole hearing in 2025 which will mark almost 3 years of his imprisonment. This was Caesar's first offense and the amount of guilt and remorse Cesar feels for the individual that was part of the accident and for their family is something that can not be explained. We have prayed for the individuals passing and their families grief since the day of the incident. Cesar prays for their forgiveness, knowing he can’t do anything to bring back the person that was taken from them brings him so much sadness. If there was any way Cesar could help the family he would, alongside paying restitution. Despite the years he’s been there, that day will forever be part of his life as the hardest, most devastating day for him and the family affected. No matter the time he has to do nothing takes away from the fact that he will have to live with it for the rest of his life. Many will say he did this to himself, they will also say he knew the consequences that would come with it but what many don’t know is that anyone can be in the same or similar situation. We don’t wish this kind of pain on anyone and we hope to help prevent future accidents by sharing that as mad as you are or as sad as you are don’t get behind a wheel thinking you won’t hurt anyone. Don’t turn to alcohol or drugs to help you get over how stressed you are or how hard life can be. The future goals Cesar has set for himself are being a better father figure, marrying his wife through the church, and contributing to the community as much as he can. By signing this petition you will help two adorable babies and a huge loving family get their loved one back to them. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Caesar's story. Thankyou in advance for signing this petition.
