it has come to my attention that a name Floyd Casey park after Alice Rodriguez council woman. This is a place i hold dear in my heart having grown in this neighborhood and find it disheartening that our leaders would choose her after her past involvements in misconduct as it has been recorded by Waco tribune herald in which her husband was charged with sexual misconduct and both misused funds during a trip to las Vegas from which this event is recorded in Waco police department. 

in 1971 Pete D. Arvizu led efforts in Waco against illegal segregation in our schools. he is but one of many local residents in Waco that were passionate about human rights and feel that his name would be a better candidate for the park to be named after.
