Since 1973,  The Double Door Inn has been the stage for countless local blues and jazz musicians, as well as legendary performers such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, JJ Cale, Steve Earle, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, and Willie Dixon, just to name a few. 

In March of 2016, Central Piedmont Community College purchased the land as well as the adjoining property with plans to demolish the 43 year old club.   The purpose of this petition is to inform CPCC that this old dive bar is significant and should be saved and preserved for generations of Charlotte musicians and music lovers.
