Name The Central Islip High School After the most influential man there was.
The Issue
Remember that movie when the little girl stood up and said, "Mr Clark was a father to those of us who had no father." Well that was Mr Andrew J Brown lll. He was the Mr. Clark of the Central Islip School district.
Andrew J Brown lll has impacted so many in our community by instilling values in us that have made all of us better people. He has helped to create and mentor pro-athletes, doctors, entrepreneurs...people who strive to make this world a better place. He grew up here in Central Islip, & after he completed college, he returned to help mold our youth, from the hallways, into the classroom, & onto the field. He has created everlasting brotherhoods & molded boys into men. He’s kept kids off the streets by relating & sharing his own upbringing. He gave kids who had so little so much by simply giving them hope. He pushed them to know better; to be better. It is for that reason we feel he must be memorialized in such a major way. Each of these signatures represents a life that was impacted by Coach Brown. We would like it if the central school district's Superintendent Mrs Sharon Dungee strongly consider our request in naming the Central Islip High School after him in honor of our dear Coach Brown.
