The Community House is an invaluable asset to the residents of Sandhills, and our council promised it to us for another 5 years, however they have gone back on that promise and it is now due to close in April 2016. Some, but not all, of the services which we now stand to lose are: - A safe place for children, particularly those who live in flats, to play in a secure garden with lots of toys and entertainment - A drop-in service which allows otherwise-isolated residents, such as new mums, a place to get out for a few hours, have a coffee and make new friends in the local area - An affordable café run at cost-price - Numerous clubs and activities - FREE baby and toddler music & rhyme groups - Organised trips - Friendly staff - A warm, friendly atmosphere where anyone can walk in at any time and be made to feel welcome
