لم يذكر في السنوات الأخيرة أن قد درس الأطفال البدون في المدارس الحكومية في الكويت إنما يستمدون تعليمهم النظامي من المدارس الخاصة من خلال تكفل أولياء أمورهم ٣٠٪ من قيمة الرسوم الدراسية و تستكمل أجهزة الدولة المنوطة بدفع بقية المبلغ من خلال الصناديق المعنية بمساعدة الطلبة البدون.

 بغض النظر عن ما ذُكر أعلاه، فقد منعت السلطات إدخال أكثر من ١٠٠٠ طفل من الأطفال البدون من الالتحاق بالمدارس الخاصة المختلفة في البلاد لحجج كثيرة لعل أبرزها كان الزعم بأن أهالي هؤلاء الطلبة قد حصلوا على أوراق سفر مزورة من عدة دول مختلفة.

 برزت العديد من الحملات التي تسعى لإنهاء هذه الكارثة الانسانية التي تخص عدد غير بسيط من الطلبة البدون بيد أن هذه الحملات لم تحقق تقدما واقعيا ملموسا. لقد حرم هؤلاء الأطفال من أبسط حقوقهم المدنية وهو حق التعليم.

 كمواطنين في المجتمع علينا أن نتعاضد جميعا لنحقق تقدما مرئيا و ملموسا تجاه هذه القضية البارزة و الهامة و لتعلم كافة فئات المجتمع المدني الحي أنه لا يوجد تطور بلا تغيير.

Kuwait deprives thousands of children of education due to the fact that they are Bidoon, or in other words, don't hold a nationality. 

Regularly, Bidoon kids are not permitted to go to Kuwait's free government funded schools, but rather they are permitted to go to non-public schools. In these schools, parents must pay up to 30% of the educational cost, and the rest is intended to be secured by state financial assistance intended particularly for Bidoon (UNHCR, 2014).

Regardless of this, authorities have declined to enlist more than 1,000 Bidoon children in non-public schools in the past year, in light of the fact that their parents had obtained false travel papers from different nations (UNHCR, 2014).

Many campaigns have been formed to protest against this crucial law, yet there has been no progress up till now. These harmless, innocent children are still being denied a simple economic, social and cultural right- the right to education. 

As citizens of society, we must all be a part of this extremely important progress. And without change, progress is impossible.
