Effective on July 14th, the CDC plans to ban dogs from 100 other countries including the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Cuba, China, Russia, and the Ukraine due to a concern over the spread of rabies. This is horrible news as this ban will lead to the unnecessary deaths of many innocent dogs who could otherwise, if this ban doesn't take effect, find loving forever homes in the U.S. 

As someone who supports #adoptdontshop it truly breaks my heart that rescue dogs who have already been through so much tragedy are the ones being punished as a result of this ban. There must be another way! There must be many other options to consider before passing such a ban. 

Please consider signing this petition and sharing as I believe we could do so much more to come to a much more reasonable resolution to not only address the rabies situation, but save lives in the process.
