There are large stacks of evidence to support the claim that for decades, elections in the USA have been systematically rigged. Mathematical analysis, witness testimony, technical demonstrations of voting machines being hacked, heaps of anecdotal data - they all point to the systematic undermining of the democratic system by which elections are supposed to be carried out.

One problem that has recently become very prolific and received a fair share of coverage and attention lately is a surge in voter suppression and disenfranchisement.

However, an even greater and much less publicized problem is the unverifiability of the results of electronic voting on voting machines all across the USA. The source code of voting machines is proprietary, meaning that it cannot be audited and there is no way of knowing whether there isn't an algorithm being used by the machines that systemically changes the votes cast on those machines. As if that wasn't bad enough, it has repeatedly been proven that different types of voting machines currently in use can be hacked and the results they record tampered with.

For the current Presidential Primaries there exists convincing statistical evidence suggesting that the results recorded by voting machines are fraudulent and do not correspond to the true vote. An excellent source of reliable statistical analysis on this matter is the Blog of Richard Charnin, a mathematician and election fraud expert.

In a recent interview on Sane Progressive Charnin voiced his opinion that election rigging will not lessen, let alone cease, until the gigantic flaws of current voting machines and mechanisms are sufficiently publicized and massive attention is given to this issue. The public, and responsible public leaders, have to demand not only revisions of prior voting results, but also an immediate switch to paper ballots for voting until a thoroughly secure, tamper-proof, and independently auditable voting system has been developed and deployed.

Charnin further criticized Cenk from The Young Turks for failing to address this issue, saying that as a self-proclaimed progressive journalist dedicated to the truth, Cenk had a responsibility to use his reach to bring public attention to the issues surrounding voting machines in the USA. Charnin then openly challenged Cenk to fulfil this  responsibility.

We, the undersigned of this petition, join Richard Charnin in challenging Cenk Uygur to do his duty as a leading figure of the progressive movement in the US and as a journalist by giving adequate coverage to the manipulatability of the voting machines currently in use in the United States Presidential Primary Elections, as well as the evidence supporting the hypothesis that election fraud was indeed committed in previous primaries.
